About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Investor Relations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Investor Relations for Orica, protecting and enhancing the Company's reputation, financial performance, and trust and ensuring the company is strategically positioned with institutional investors, retail shareholders and other stakeholders.
Your role will provide market advice and insight to senior leaders on Investor Relations strategies, initiatives, and key issues for consideration. In this highly critical and visible role, you will have extensive exposure to the Executive Committee, CFO, CEO and constant interface with our regional business leaders and global development team.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in Investor Relations or capital markets, a passion for problem solving, and strong numerical and commercial skills. This is a key role within the team, where exceptional communication, influencing and project management skills are required.
What you will be doing
- Develop and articulate the Orica's financial and strategic messages including preparing quality and timely communication collateral for investors.
- Develop Investor Relations communications strategy framework including making recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with research analysts, investors, particularly with all ESG stakeholders.
- Analyse information from the broker/analyst/investment community and prepare Board/management reports outlining key findings and trends.
- Proactively analyse and summarise peer/ competitor earnings, research reports and provide market updates.
- Analyse Orica's register composition and identify offshore high-quality, long-term targets.
- Preparation and delivery of quality Board and Executive level presentations.
What you will bring
- Role ideally suited to individuals with a minimum of (10) years' experience in a similar Investor Relations role.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of capital markets and ESG matters.
- Proven experience in identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with key investors and ESG/proxy stakeholders.
- Experience in producing quality and impactful internal and external communications material.
- Excellent conceptual and quantitative skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, engineering or similar (post-graduate highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and external parties.
- Knowledge of foreign languages and international experience is advantageous but not essential.
