The opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, Organisational Development and Employee Experience (ODEX), your primary role will be to partner with the Global Learning & Leadership Team in the design and development of the AUSPAC QBE (and Home Market) Learning and Leadership agenda. You will also lead a team of three consultants in the implementation of same.
As the AUSPAC Division has recently commenced a significant transformation journey, there is opportunity and need to revisit and reset QBE’s learning and leadership agendas to enable the continued growth of our people and business with an emphasis on investing in our Leadership and people capabilities for today and tomorrow.
Your new role
This role is responsible for leading the Home Market approach to Learning & Leadership Development. This will be done by designing and implementing learning and leadership strategy and solutions across AUSPAC and Home Market. Your other primary responsibilities include:
Build the professional development & leadership capability of our people, with a balance between current state needs and future state aspirations.
Partner closely with the Global Talent Team, People Business Partnering, Talent Team and other key stakeholders to understand the learning and leadership needs of the employees of AUSPAC/Home Market and use these insights to inform our Learning for All and other core leadership offerings.
Manage the Learning & Leadership Team (x3).
Lead the local embedment of the QBE Leadership Attributes across the employee life cycle.
Set local Leadership 360 tool strategy and governance (and debrief certification where appropriate) across home market.
Engage and manage other learning and leadership tools and capability solutions as required.
Identify and plan investment from ODEX budget to deliver against annual People Plan.
Effective vendor management.
About you
To be successful as the Senior Manager – Leadership & Learning you will have:
Understanding and application of adult learning approaches and human centered design
Strong project management skills
Strong relationship management and influencing skills – ability to interact at an executive/strategic level
Strong consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills
A commercially focused and pragmatic approach to delivery of Leadership and Learning solutions
Experience in consulting and delivery of Leadership and Learning solutions
Demonstrated business partnering/internal consulting experience
Experience in fast moving complex matrix structures
Understanding of an experience in deploying digital first learning solutions
Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles
