We are delighted to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for the role of Senior Manager – Marketing Explosives and Automation. This pivotal role will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for our Explosives and Automation product portfolios, driving growth, market penetration, and customer engagement across diverse industry sectors.
Reporting to our Vice President – Explosives and Automation, you will be a critical member of the T&I Explosives and Automation leadership team, responsible for developing commercial and business plans to maximize growth and long-term profitability for Orica in this category.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in mining or mining services, demonstrated strategic marketing experience, a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and strong numerical and commercial skills. This is a key role within the team, where exceptional communication, influencing and product management skills are required.
- Drive strategic marketing, understanding market trends and new market opportunities through market intelligence and voice of the customer feedback.
- Oversee new business and financial models and market segmentation studies for our new technologies.
- Support our Global ESG strategies – developing and supporting implementation of Category Decarbonisation plans in conjunction with Orica’s Sustainability functions.
- Support the development and implementation of global pricing strategies.
- Develop strategies to optimise the profitability of the Category Portfolio across Orica’s Global markets, linking with company Manufacturing, Distribution and Commercial Plans.
- Develop Global communication plans to facilitate product strategy and market plans implementation by key stakeholders.
- Role ideally suited to individuals with a minimum of (10) years’ experience in a similar strategic marketing role.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, engineering or similar (post-graduate highly regarded)
- Experience in the mining, mining services, or industrial sectors and/or industrial automation is advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
