Due to evolution of our People & Culture function, we have an opportunity for a Senior Manager for People Operations to join our business. You will lead and oversee the successful execution of People processes, HR technologies, policies and procedures to drive an efficient and optimal employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
• Leading and managing day-to-day employee lifecycle processes, including on/offboarding, internal transfers/ promotions, employee records management…etc.
• Optimise people processes and workflows to ensure effectiveness and contribute to a positive employee experience.
• Oversee the leadership of the payroll, compensation and benefits function and team and address related queries.
• Oversee the annual performance review and remuneration cycles, in collaboration with the broader People and Culture team.
• Leverage the use of our HRIS and other digital tools to enhance operational productivity through automation, data and insights.
• Evaluate, develop and update People policies and procedures to ensure compliance and relevance.
• HR Data and Reporting: monitor and analyse employee data and metrics to generate insightful reports to identify trends, address issues and make recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Oversee and manage workers’ compensation and work, health and safety issues.
HR Technology and Systems:
• Lead the continual optimisation and maintenance of our HRIS (Employment Hero) and other HR technology solutions and systems to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
• Stay updated on emerging HR technology trends and assess their potential impact on HR operations.
• Implement best practices for data privacy, confidentiality, and security in HR operations.
• Ensure external reporting obligations are completed as required (e.g. WGEA)
Your background
• Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in an HR operational role, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations, with demonstrated experience in implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, aligned to the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manipulate and analyse HR data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially-sound approach.
• Proficient in HRIS systems (knowledge of Employment Hero is an advantage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple competing priorities effectively.
• Self-motivated and self-aware, recognising own strengths and weaknesses, showing commitment to personal development.
