Senior Manager Portfolio Performance
As Senior Manager, Portfolio Performance, you are a critical part of the Enterprise Delivery function. The Enterprise Delivery team work collaboratively to support and guide our stakeholders, and to apply the delivery lifecycle to initiatives that enable Great Southern Bank to deliver on its strategic objectives. The function spans Architecture, Demand Management, Delivery Performance and Portfolio Delivery. This multifaceted role encompasses portfolio optimisation, portfolio reporting, portfolio delivery governance enablement and leadership of the Portfolio Delivery Coordinators. You will utilise your stakeholder relationship management, consulting, negotiation, and facilitation skills at senior levels of an organisation in support of optimal portfolio delivery performance.
Your responsibilities
Portfolio Delivery Performance
- Develop and maintain portfolio reporting processes to provide visibility into Portfolio Performance including progress updates for the Board, Exco, and Portfolio Governance Forums
- Coordination of portfolio-wide issues, conflicts, and priorities, supporting communication to delivery senior stakeholders and Portfolio Governance Forums.
- Support the effective adoption of appropriate portfolio governance structures in support of delivery performance and achievement of delivery outcomes=
Delivery Leadership
- You lead and coach the Portfolio Delivery Coordinators across the Enterprise Delivery function.This entails collaboration with portfolio delivery managers and leads to ensure successful execution of initiatives within the portfolio
- You lead a shared understanding across teams and functions to enhance communication, strategic alignment and efficiency through the delivery process
- Your leadership, influence and change agent capability will be required to continually optimise the portfolio delivery framework, ensuring that it is appropriately applied and continually improved
Stakeholder and Knowledge Management
- You demonstrate the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and build relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise
- You develop progressive practices, techniques, and tools as part of an effective portfolio delivery framework and associated governance
- Using your expertise, you provide review and feedback on status reports, change requests, business cases, retrospectives, and closure reports
Your experience
- 10 years' experience as a Senior Program, Change or Portfolio Manager of cross-functional, complex initiatives
- Prior experience with delivery governance and reporting
- Strong financial industry background is essential
- Proven people management/leadership experience in a matrix delivery organisation.
- Relevant program management qualification/certification
- Agile, MSP or similarly certified practitioner will be viewed favourably.
