About Us
Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) provides quality Infrastructure Services to the department. ISD is a highly motivated, energetic and results orientated team focused on delivering flexible, innovative and responsive infrastructure solutions.
ISD contributes to teaching and learning outcomes in schools by aligning facilities services to whole of government initiatives and departmental priorities. Core functions include policy formulation, strategic planning, program formation, project delivery and performance reporting.
About the Role
As the Senior Infrastructure Services Officer, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following accountabilities:
- Understand infrastructure Asset Management policies and support the division in aligning with overall strategic goals.
- Contribute to implementing and maintaining processes and systems to develop prioritised investment programs relating to Asset Management and the renewal of existing assets.
- Undertake research and provide policy advice for continuous improvement of Asset Management regarding maintenance and renewal works (including analysis of asset condition data).
- Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions ie. SAP, PowerBI and EXCEL to present departmental data and statistics in an accessible, more useful manner for distribution to internal and external clients.
- Communicate and liaise with a range of teams across ISD (particularly team members based in the Regions who liaise directly with schools), other government departments and private enterprise on aspects of Asset Management.
- Assist in the preparation of briefing notes, ministerial and executive management correspondence on a range of complex and sensitive issues.
- Actively participate in conversations to build and support a culture of team performance improvement.
This role reports to the Manager, Strategic Asset Management.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Demonstrated knowledge of project, asset and financial management
- Well-developed Excel skills
- Demonstrated effective communication (both verbal and written), consultation and negotiation skills with a proven ability to lead others, to meet client needs and to achieve corporate objectives through leadership at a professional level.
- Ability to quickly establish good rapport with key stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships across a broad range of clients
- Manage and monitor the delivery of designated capital works, maintenance and facilities services in accordance with defined scope, budget, delivery timetable and quality standards.
- • Advise senior officers on a broad range of facilities planning and Asset Management issues.
