What would your day-to-day look like?
As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our National Portfolio Manager and lead our property management team. Your pivotal role involves managing, our national portfolio, including commercial office buildings, industrial sheds, and vacant land. You'll ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and provide leadership and mentoring to the property management team.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Manage portfolio performance, profitability, and tenant satisfaction.
- Develop strategic plans for revenue growth and expense control.
- Conduct property inspections and monitor market trends.
- Manage capital expenditure projects and ensure compliance with lease terms.
- Oversee forecasting, budget preparation, and arrears management.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial reports and lead budget processes.
- Partner with leasing to identify income opportunities.
- Foster strong client relationships and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Act as the main contact for client communications.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular audits and stay informed on legislation changes.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the property management team.
- Manage ad-hoc queries and represent the department in meetings.
- Assist in HR recruitment and facilitate team training and development.
Are you someone with?
- Tertiary qualifications in Real Estate, Property Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of property management experience.
- Experience in using MRI property management software (desired)
- Experience managing medium to large teams.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
- High resilience, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office platforms.
