About The Role
As the Senior Manager Asset Strategy & Delivery, reporting directly to the Director Infrastructure & Operations, you will be leading a significant group of dedicated and experienced professionals to strategically plan for and design, deliver and maintain Council's Asset portfolio.
A strategic leader, you will be comfortable generating alternatives, visualising new possibilities, challenging assumptions and opening yourself up to new information.
Further, your ability to create and maintain a strong organisational culture, will maximise the team’s capacity to deliver major infrastructure projects that meet the adopted infrastructure strategy while achieving positive outcomes for Council and the community.
You will be responsible for managing budgets, resources, and driving business unit outcomes through effective leadership and decision-making.
Position outcomes and accountabilities
- Collaborates and contributes to the Senior Manager Leadership team within the Infrastructure & Operations Directorate and across Council
- Manage the Asset Strategy & Delivery business unit to deliver exceptional services and projects including advanced financial management and budget control
- Build a high-performing team by providing coaching, learning and development opportunities and creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Proactively allocate resources to achieve the successful delivery of Team outputs in the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Business Plan and Operational Plan.
- Collaborate, review, and advise on strategic asset management, integrated planning and reporting and relevant masterplans/designs/operational management plans
About You

Focused upon delivering quality outcomes for the community, we are seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership abilities. Well-developed stakeholder management and advocacy skills are a must, as is the ability to interact with all levels of government.
It is expected that as a minimum you will have degree qualifications in relevant project management, engineering or equivalent discipline.
You will have a background in asset management, infrastructure or operations and extensive experience in project management, capital works planning, design and delivery.
An executive remuneration package is offered as would be expected of such a position.
