The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and lead a dedicated team in achieving targets.Reporting to our Vice President - Supply Chain (AusPac), the Senior Manager - Warehouse & Distribution will develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role will require a proactive leader with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration to support Orica's commitment to operational excellence.What you will be doing

• Lead and manage the warehouse and distribution management team throughout Australia Pacific, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse and distribution processes.
• Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and effective inventory turnover.
• Manage logistics and transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Ensure all warehouse and distribution activities comply with Orica's safety standards, industry regulations, and environmental policies.
• Develop and manage the warehouse and distribution budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and other Orica departments.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in warehouse and distribution management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) are a plus.
