About this Program
Consumer Directed Services (CDS) refers to services which are led by and funded by individual consumers. This includes services such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, iCare, Insurances and brokerage. These services provide support, care and access to services and technology for Australians with disabilities as well as their families and carers.
About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a CDS Service Manager. The CDS Service Manager will grow Wellways' CDS profile and influence by delivering more high-quality services to people and leveraging key strategic partnerships and excellent performance into sustainable growth opportunities. In doing so, the role will work with a continuous improvement mindset and aim to futureproof the CDS teams in their service provision as aligned to anticipated disability services in line with upcoming sector reform.
The CDS Service Manager holds responsibility for fiscally sustainable delivery of the programs within their portfolio. As part of the leadership team across a number of regions, the role will support and reinforce a coordinated approach to the implementation of strategic objectives across the region, and promote a customer-focused, high-functioning and collaborative culture.
Wellways offices are often shared across a range of diverse Wellways programs or are co-located with other service providers. No matter the location, it is the role of the CDS Service Manager to ensure team members are aligned to the organisation's vision, purpose, and values to make Wellways a truly great place to work by fostering positive organisational culture and investing in team development.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, social science, occupational therapy, psychology or related discipline and/ or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive experience of working in the NDIS and/ or other insurance-based services
- Experience realising organisational vision, operationalising strategic goals and measuring impact
- Experience leading and managing diverse teams
- Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check / Vulnerable People
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (Less than 12 months old)
- NDIS Worker Orientation completion certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
