Job DescriptionWhat is this role about?
We are looking for a Senior Manager, WHS and Facilities to oversee all WHS related matters, ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation as well as implementing and enforcing policies and processes that ensure the Health and Safety of all employees and visitors to Cuscal.
You will be responsible for providing a professional and customer focused facilities management service to the organisation while overseeing and being actively involved in the day-to-day and future maintenance of the office floors and equipment.
The responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain Cuscal’s Work Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance to the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Regulations and Code of Practice
- Create and manage the delivery of all Work Health and Safety activities, including training needs and other services
- Provide advice to all stakeholders on all WHS issues and initiatives
- Create, implement and update policies and procedures that ensure pro-active hazard identification and safe behaviours
- Monitor and investigate current or potential WHS accidents (both physical and psychosocial), incidents and near misses, implementing preventative measures to stop future occurrences
- Analyse data and proactively identify risk areas, and implement strategies and solutions to reduce the likelihood of incidents and injuries
- Engage stakeholders, to drive a positive safety culture through different initiatives, including education and training
- Chair the WHS Committee, and manage attendees to this committee, ensuring all concerns are managed or escalated appropriately

What can you bring?
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Work Health and Safety Management role
- Demonstrated experience in embedding and maintaining an effective Work Health and Safety management system
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and injury prevention Previous experience designing and delivering WHS related training
- Proven experience working with relevant WHS legislations and requirements
- Previous experience overseeing Facilities Management in a corporate office environment
- Expert knowledge of WHS and HR policies and practices
- Proficient in report, policy and investigation writing
- Working knowledge of relevant MS products, Excel & Word
