Due to improvements and initiatives being driven across Australian & New Zealand, our client is seeking an experienced WHS individual to partner with the business to build more awareness of WHS within the organisation.
About the Role
Whilst the role reports directly to the Head of Shared Service you would be working directly within business nationally supporting them to continually improve their safety performance, ensure the successful update of their injury management program and implement wellbeing programs. You will also manage a small team of direct reports.
About Success
Critical success factors and responsibilities include:
- Proactively contributing to the building of a safety culture and awareness
- Collaborate with executives to enhance WHS culture and support them in understanding psychosocial risk
- Train the WHS committee members / local officers to understand their duties and requirements as a function
- Lead the injury management and return to work function for the business
- Actively prepare all safety related reporting requirements
- Risk Management and assessments, incident analysis,
- Manage the safety training needs analysis, developing training and education plans
- Develop, coordinate, manage and maintain the Wellbeing programme
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of Wellbeing initiatives to ensure their success within the business
You will win this role with your:
- Strong experience in an HS & Wellbeing role, preferably from within the finance / education / white collar sectors or similar
- The ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of a business
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
- The ability to lead behavioural change
- Ability to work autonomously
- Degree or Diploma in Safety, and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
