As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be leading work that helps to drive excellence across the Consumer Marketing Team. You will focus on key areas to deliver collective and individual achievement including culture, capability, enablement, GTM planning & strategy. You will help build a culture where the team feel empowered and inspired to do meaningful and career-defining work. You will also help shape the strategy across Consumer Marketing that will deliver the shared priorities of the business and drive consistency and efficiency of marketing campaigns.

Consumer Marketing is a Centre of Excellence (CoE) within the Marketing and Corporate Affairs function at CommBank. Our team works across the Consumer Marketing team to help deliver both the Marketing and Corporate Affairs and the Retail Banks' priorities. We partner closely with other CommBank Marketing CoEs including Brand & Creative, Business & Institutional Marketing, Media, and Customer Insights and Research.
Key responsibilities:
Shape the culture of the team by working with various working groups across the team and beyond and continually review and manage the team's operating rhythm.
Build robust analysis and reporting to demonstrate marketing contribution back to the business, providing insights for tracking to key business objectives and results, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Optimize and coordinate the joint planning process for Consumer Marketing to help drive the benefits of agile.
Drive and deliver a capability program that will empower and upskill the Consumer Marketing Team.
Reporting and management of core operational functions such as FTE tracking and budgets.
GTM & Strategic Projects:
Utilize expertise in advertising and owned and paid channel mix to help drive strategic coordination of GTM across Consumer Marketing and within the broader Marketing and Communications function.
Manage agencies to drive efficiency and optimize excellence of output.
Drive and deliver strategic projects that support the Retail Bank, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, or the Consumer Marketing function.
Other core responsibilities:
Support, guide, and mentor one indirect report.
Collaborate with and influence senior leaders across the bank.
Identify and prioritize the most strategic and impact-driving initiatives.
Craft and communicate strategy, but also jump into the trenches of delivery when required.
Navigate a complex, matrix organization dynamic to drive the best outcomes with an Enterprise mindset.

We’d love to hear from people who have: A background in operations, agile and/or advertising planning (for GTM & Planning role). Passion for learning, development, and building a team with an outstanding culture. Highly developed strategy and project management skills. Analytical and strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate complexity in an accessible way. Insight-driven with the ability to use data to inform decision making and rationalize marketing priorities. Commercial and financial acumen with the ability to track and optimize budgets and demonstrate ROI/ROMI. Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to create positive outcomes with a can-do attitude. Creative thinker with problem-solving/growth mindset Financial services background is beneficial, but not required.
