About the Role

Utilise your expertise to support Sales, Global Product Specialists, Tooling, Production, and the Management Team. Some of the duties you will be responsible for in this role include:
- Utilise mathematical and computer modeling to assess new developments' feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Product Line Specialists to translate research ideas into technical plans using CAD/CAE software.
- Conduct testing on new prototypes, analyzing data from Pre-Qualification and Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Improve, modify, document, and test existing product ranges in coordination with Product Line Specialists.
- Ensure designs adhere to applicable Standards and good engineering practices.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews for HSE and risk analysis before issue.
- Produce engineering outputs, including drawings, in compliance with AS 1100.
- Provide unambiguous, detailed manufacturing instructions in issued information.
- Identify and address potential safety or quality issues, collaborating with personnel to manage risks.
- Support field tests for the Matrix Group of Companies, which may involve travel.

About You
To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking someone who ideally has:
- Minimum degree qualified mechanical, structural, or mechatronic engineer with 8 years of experience.
- Advanced communication skills; both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of applicable standards
- Well-versed with the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Experience with a solid modelling program such as Solidworks.
In addition, the following would be considered highly advantageous:
- Experience with the design of elastomeric components highly desirable.
- Experience with subsea components highly desirable.
- Experience with MathCAD
