About the Role
Our client is providing engineering services for a billion-dollar biofuels project which will transform an existing refinery into an integrated energy hub to produce renewable fuels.
They are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Designer to join the team working in the Perth CBD office with flexibility for working from home WFH days. Reporting to the Instrumentation & Controls Department Manager as well as the Project Manager, you will execute FEED, detailed design and execution support scopes.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Deliver design and drafting services adhering to the clients and Australian regulatory requirements
- Communicate with the project team, lead and workshare team regarding instrumentation discipline matters and consider interdisciplinary design interfaces
- Knowledge of PLCs, distributed control systems, emergency shutdown systems and fire and gas systems in order to deliver practical and effective design solutions
- Familiar with design documentation, ability to originate and check documents including block diagrams, hook-up diagrams, termination diagrams, schematics, loops, fire and gas layouts, instrument layouts, cause and effects and P&IDs
Requirements
- Hydrocarbons industry experience, instrumentation design
- Proficiency with SmartPlant Instrumentation SPI software / 3D modelling
