Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join our talented Engineering team. 

Key responsibilities of the role are: 

• Engage with customers to gain a deeper understanding of their requirements, ensuring our tailored solutions address their technical needs
• Participate with lead engineers and the mechanical team to deliver competent technical outcomes
• Support the implementation of innovative and fit for purpose concepts and solutions
• Competently taking ownership of concepts and turning them into design solutions from start to finish within time, budget and quality constraints.
• Following design standards and processes to achieve professional and complete outcomes that meet requirements as defined in applicable customer specifications. 
• Design for Manufacture and produce clear and accurate workshop drawings
• Support our inhouse fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to solve problems and continually improve
• Provide commission support and test our equipment at our workshop and at the customers site
• Produce clear and accurate documentation for our customers to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment into the future.

What you can bring:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics or similar) or significant engineering design/detailing experience.
• Significant previous CAD platform experience (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar)
• Strong aptitude – across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation
• Creative and considered problem solving skills and a detailed approach to your work
• Team orientation.
