We are actively seeking a
Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Operations Support team here in Perth CBD.As the
Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity and smooth operation of our facilities, particularly focusing on static mechanical equipment for the Ichthys FPSO.INPEX is committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered. Key responsibilities include:- Manage Mechanical equipment to uphold plant technical integrity.
- Be the focal point for managing risks associated with mechanical equipment.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of operational management of change processes.
- Develop healthcare, maintenance, and inspection strategies for offshore mechanical systems, identifying deliverables required to assure these activities.
- Provide technical support for plant breakdowns and planned shutdowns.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Detailed knowledge of static mechanical equipment in an operational O&G facility highly desirable
- Demonstrated comprehension of obligations and duties in accordance with both International and Australian standards, Acts, and Regulations, such as those outlined in Safety Case requirements.
- Strong interpersonal abilities for promoting teamwork, collaboration, and inclusivity.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Cultivates a respectful understanding of diverse cultures and is dedicated to promoting teamwork.
