Metro South Health@Home, Community and Oral Health are looking for a Senior Medical Officer to join their team on temporary full time basis. The role will focus on providing general medical services that facilitate Emergency Department avoidance across COHS, including the management of QAS and General Practitioner (GP) referrals, provision of medical services and direction of clients to appropriate care pathways.

About the Role
- The Senior Medical Officer will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary teams which deliver care within the community.
- Provide high quality medical services for clients of Community and Oral Health Services (COHS).
- Practice advanced general medicine/ general practice/ urgent care/ rural and remote skills in accordance with your approved credentialed scope of clinical practice (General Medicine, General Practice, Emergency Medicine or Rural and Remote Medicine).
- Optimise care for community clients who are at risk of deterioration and subsequent representation to hospital, including directing and/or admitting clients to the appropriate service such as other COHS teams, specialist outpatient departments, hospital inpatient units or hospital in the home programs.
