UQ has made a to making education opportunities available for all Queenslanders, regardless of personal, financial, or geographical barriers.As part of our commitment to excellence in research and professional practice in academic contexts, we are proud to provide our staff with access to world-class facilities and equipment, grant writing support, greater research funding opportunities, and other forms of staff support and development.About This OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer to join the Academy for Medical Education (AME), to contribute to the implementation of the Doctor of Medicine program and grow their profile in Medical Education, scholarship, and citizenship.The core responsibilities will be to support the design and implementation of the MD program, primarily supporting the implementation of Year 1 and Year 2 courses across multiple sites to enable quality student learning experience.This role will work alongside the MD Design team and the Year 1 & 2 coordinators.Key responsibilities will include:Teaching: Coordinate the implementation of learning experiences and assessments ensuring effective integration.Provide guidance and support to course contributors to ensure the provision of high-quality learning experiences and assessment.Supervision and Researcher Development: Develop a knowledge of effective pedagogical practices.Review and draw upon best practice research methodologies in curriculum design and implementation.This is a teaching focused position. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $132,201 - $152,202, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $154,676 - $178,076 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.The greater of joining the UQ community are broad: from being part of a university, to recognition of prior service with other Australian universities, up to 26 weeks of paid parental leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, flexible working arrangements including hybrid on site/WFH options and flexible start/finish times, and genuine career progression opportunities via the academic promotions process.About YouA medicine or healthcare professional degree, OR a PhD in the discipline area.A strong understanding of contemporary educational practice in Medical Education.Curriculum expertise and ability to coordinate and support the program delivery.Proven high level of teaching skills with a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching and learning.Demonstrated ability to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning and quality enhancement activities.Ability to establish effective relationships, work collaboratively with colleagues and to represent and promote the interests of the school to other academic units, government, and professional bodies.A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with a strong contribution to external activities.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
