As a Senior Medical Officer (Rural Generalist) or Senior Medical Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Contributing as a team member to high quality medical service, as determined by your credentialing and scope of clinical practice, in primary and secondary medical care to individual patients as well as population health service to the local community.
- Providing leadership to junior medical and other relevant staff within Beaudesert Hospital.

Beaudesert Hospital:
Beaudesert Hospital ( https://metrosouth.health.qld.gov.au/beaudesert-hospital ) is a modern rural health care facility located in Queensland's Scenic Rim region. The hospital has a rich history of providing quality health care services to the local community and today provides a range of specialties including surgical procedures and birthing services.
The Hospital provides a:
- range of speciality services including general medicine and surgery, birthing services, antenatal and postnatal care. Beaudesert Hospital also operates a 24-hour emergency service.
- range of surgical procedures under local and general anaesthetic, allowing many local residents to receive treatment closer to home.
- range of obstetric services for local women with low-risk pregnancies.
All of these services are closely linked to Logan Hospital, situated around 45km to the north, where more complex care is organised and provided as required.
