Senior Medical Receptionist / PA

Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointment bookings efficiently for our patients.
  • Handle calls with professionalism and empathy, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Take care of general administration duties and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Skilfully manage billing processes, including Medicare and Hospital/Private Health claims.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with our valued patients.
  • Coordinate the booking of procedures at private and public hospitals, including patient admissions.
  • Handle daily banking activities.

Additional Responsibilities as PA:

  • Manage a specific doctor's calendar effectively.
  • Ensure smooth workflow by reviewing appointment and procedure booking calendars.
  • Maintain organized and secure filing of medical records.
  • Conduct audits of accounts and appointments.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
  • Uphold compliance standards and maintain accreditation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Meticulous attention to detail, adept at multitasking, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with composure
  • Demonstrated experience in team work within a similar setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, following established practice processes
  • Professional phone etiquette and impeccable presentation
  • Familiarity with Medicare billing and related processes
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred

Remuneration will be based on experience.
