AddressWe are an established surgical specialist practice based in Liverpool, seeking a Senior Medical Secretary to join our team. Our practice has a strong focus on treating patients with dignity and respect. We provide services to both public and private patients, consulting in rooms Monday to Friday.
This role will suit someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, is very organised and can work well in a high performance environment.
Key functions of the role
- Provide a high level of patient care in a busy environment
- Contribute to the general running of busy clinic days - front desk, booking appointments, maintaining accurate patient details, Medicare and DVA bookings, private billing and payment processing.
- Communicate with medical practices and hospitals
Key skill requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and patience
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Work, Excel and Outlook
- Prior experience in a medical practice is preferred, but not essential
- Experience using BlueChip software will be advantageous
- Must have the ability to remain calm and courteous in challenging situations
