About the role
The role delivers high level clinical Mental Health services in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation to children and young people in the care of the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services with extreme and complex therapeutic and behaviour support needs. This role delivers training and education, supervision and research within the Evolve Therapeutic Support Services.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level clinical knowledge in childhood trauma, attachment theory, child development, collaborative practice and systemic theory.
- Coordinate and direct an interagency care plan using a developmentally informed collaborative model of care to address the therapeutic and behaviour support needs of the child or young person which identifies the roles and responsibilities of government, non-government and private sector service providers as appropriate.
- High levels of initiative and responsibility in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that incorporate consumer and carer participation, contributing to a state-wide evidence-based model of service delivery.
- Experience with service evaluation and research to support compliance with state-wide and local research initiatives.
- Proven experience in clinical practice supervision to maintain high professional clinical standards with the Child and Youth Mental Health Services.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- This role provides health, counselling and support services that involve children and will require a Blue Card.
