About your opportunity:
The Rural and Remote Mental Health Program provides Mental Health and alcohol and drugs services to Rural and Remote communities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service area. These services are coordinated through four community Mental Health teams located in Palm Island, Ingham, the Burdekin and Charters Towers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high level Mental Health services within a multidisciplinary team.
- Undertake, and provide, professional supervision and development, as agreed with the Team Leader.
- Develop and lead quality initiatives that enhance the provision of safe and evidence based therapeutic interventions.
- Develop program materials relevant to the provision of individual and group-based interventions.
- Develop and facilitate training of staff in the provision of group and individual intervention programs.
Role Requirements:
- The successful applicant will hold a tertiary degree in one of the following: Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualifictaion and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Possession of class C driver's licence.
- Travel by light aircraft is required. Overnight stays may be required.

Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising salary range of $107,960 to $133,901 p.a. (HP4/NG7), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
