THE ROLE
Salary: $75 - $85 per hour depending on experience + Super + Salary Packaging
Location: Townsville, Queensland
Contract: 3 months minimum with possible extension
Accommodation and Travel: Included
Hours: Full Time
As a Senior Mental Health Social Worker, you will work within the Community Mental Health team where you will provide assessment and short term follow up to patients. Working under the direction of the Manager and Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide social and physical assessment of patients and deliver clinical treatment and care to resolve or ameliorate emotional distress. In consultation with the patient, family and carer(s), and other care providers, you will formulate, negotiate, document, monitor and maintain an Individual Service Plan (ISP) for each patient of the service, and complete other documentation, including Outcome Measures, as per service policy. As this is a Senior Social Worker position, AASW Mental Health Accreditation is required,
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Senior Social Worker with AASW Mental Health Accreditation
- Experienced in Community Mental Health with Senior Clinical experience
- Completed relevant supervisor training
- Demonstrated high level communication skills and experience in staff development and/or performance improvement as evidenced by previous supervisory and senior clinical leadership roles and activities
- Driver's Licence
- National Police Check or willingness to undertake one
- Working With Childrens Check or willingness to obtain one
- Covid-19 Vaccinated
- Willingness to provide immunisation history if appropriate
