THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Mining Technical Services Manager, the Senior Mine Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and timely measurements, design set outs, and records of the mine site. This is used as a basis to update the mine plans and support production activity.
This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set out-of-control points, pit and stockpile designs, drill patterns, ore markets, and no dig lines.
- Pick up drill holes collars, blast pattern outlines, blast heave, misfires, waste dumps, ROM stockpiles, process plant stockpiles, as built final pit wall toes and berms.
- Follow the procedures in place for the timely and accurate collection of mine as-built information to contribute to the mining contract management, mine planning, and mining reconciliation to optimize the ore reserve.
- Follow all mine surveying procedures for the mining operation.
ABOUT YOU:
- WA Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate.
- A degree or diploma in Mine Surveying is acceptable to gain an Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate as per the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995.
- 3 - 5 yrs experience in a similar role in a Mine Survey Team
