The Ulan Complex is comprised of Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Mine, and Ulan Surface Operations. The Complex has two established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, as our Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- The Life of Mine process, including the development of the annual and five-year production budget.
- The 13-week planning process.
- Mine design including panel preview/review process.
- Guiding the Mining Engineers with short-term planning and in producing the mine overview schedule for Longwall and Development heading progress and major production points.
- Assisting with risk assessment and suggesting technical solutions as required.
- Mentoring and coaching Mining Engineer Graduates and Vacation Students.
As the successful applicant you will:
- Hold tertiary qualifications related to Mining Engineering.
- Relevant experience within an Underground Mining capacity.
- Demonstrate strong technical and commercial understanding of engineering and maintenance work practices in Underground mining.
- Have experience in Mine Planning.
