AddressThis position is responsible to deliver functional and valuable software to using the Microsoft .Net technology stack. It utilise expertise and knowledge to contribute to and enhance the Company software development and delivery process, both directly and through mentoring of other members of the team.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop innovative, efficient and scalable solutions using .NET technologies
- Participate in systems and solution design and work with business users and business analysts to understand the requirements.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and transfer technical skills to other developers in the team. Perform reviews on code produced by your peers.
- Ensure established coding standards are adhered to; contribute to enhancing existing standards. Deliver to quality standards.
- Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with agreed service levels and procedures, maximising delivery of functional software with the least impact.
- Assess and report on risks that could impact on systems and data security and ensure appropriate mitigation practices are in place.
- Solid practical experience in .Net development
- Proficient with Microsoft software development technologies and tools i.e. .NET, MVC, WCF, Web API, Entity framework, SQL, etc.
- Significant practical experience in an Information Technology position in a medium size commercial environment
- Experience with .NET Core, Angular, GIT is an advantage.
- Ability to work across a mixed technology environment
- Strong Database skills and experience
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet specified deadlines and report regularly on progress
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills that simplify complex issues down to the core elements
- Strong experience in agile way of work and agile software development
- Exposure to infrastructure design concepts e.g. virtualisation, cloud services, monitoring
- Knowledge of Agile process tools and associated CI/CD tools (eg. JIRA, Confluence, GIT etc)
