The role will be joining the TDI engineering team responsible for the design and build of software products, platform services and infrastructure across a variety of cloud technologies supporting the banking and finance industry. The role will play a key part in shaping the Perpetual Business Intelligence Platform.
About the role
As a Senior.Net Engineer at Perpetual Digital, you will:
Development Practice
Contribute to multi-year vision and product roadmap
Follow coding best practices
Utilise Agile methodologies and provide technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Contribute to product initiatives to deliver robust and scalable solutions toward this vision, incorporating new technologies as appropriate
Contribute to a team culture that values delivering customer value quickly, and iteratively
Technical Delivery
Translating business requirements to efficient application code
Write efficient, clean, tested and documented code ready for reuse by others
Optimising applications for maximum speed and scalability across various platforms and devices
Participating in tool and technology selection processes and creating proof of concept models for new technologies and approaches
Build, support, and maintain the Perpetual Business Intelligence (BI platform using Azure cloud services
Release management
Enhance current processes through system developments that improve process efficiency
Training and mentoring staff who lack familiarity with the more technical aspects of IT, SDLC and Azure solutions
Manage data and enhance current processes through system developments that improve process efficiency.
About you
Essential Requirements
7+ years' experience as a software developer including demonstrated experience in driving standards and improving culture
Experience in working in an agile product team
Experience working on ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core & C#
Experience working on Azure, App Service, API Management/Development, Azure Functions, Service Bus, SignalR, Azure SQL DB & T-SQL.
Experience with GIT / DevOps source control and CI tools
Experience with Azure technologies and services (ADF, DevOps, Databricks, etc.)
Strong communications skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders in the business ranging from Analysts to Senior Management
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivation and commitment suitable to a start-up team
Highly regarded but not required
Experience working on Blazor, Angular or React 11/12, including Smart / Dumb Component Architecture, SCSS, HTML5 and/or CSS3.
Experience writing T-SQL stored procedures and Common Table Expressions.
Exposure to, and understanding of, financial mathematics.
Basic knowledge of Financial Markets and concepts.
