Exciting opportunity to join the IT Team working for the Northern NSW Local Health District. Your base of operations will be the Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region. The position will work with a dedicated team of IT professionals responsible for IT support from Grafton to Tweed and west to Bonalbo and Urbenville.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, at least 2 years.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment, which may include overnight stays.
- Direct experience with Dell, Juniper and Fortinet enterprise network equipment an advantage.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in implementing, supporting and managing enterprise network solutions covering LAN, WAN, Wi-fi (RTLS grade), firewalls, monitoring and management systems
- Demonstrated experience with underlying protocols and services common to enterprise networks including VXLAN, 802.1x, SIP, VPNs, Radius, QoS, BGP, Microwave services/hardware and VLANs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Desktops) and cloud hosting services (AWS and Azure)
- Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of staff, clients and vendors working in and servicing a large Health service organisation.
