Our IT department at Healthscope's head office has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Network Team. Reporting to the Head of Cloud and Platforms, this role plays an important in ensuring we provide exceptional customer service to Healthscope employees.

As an IT Network Engineer your responsibilities will include:

· Responsible for activities and technologies surrounding build and operations of the data network infrastructure and communications.

· Perform network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution to ensure optimal performance and reliability of Cisco, Extreme Networks and Palo Alto technology stacks, ensuring availability and

· Actively engage with the technology teams to achieve Service Levels and delight customers including doctors, patients and Healthscope Staff.

· This role is part of the Cloud and Platforms group, which aims to provide a flexible and reliable data network for key stakeholders through continuous improvement, supporting modernisation and secure mindset.

· Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

Selection Criteria:

· Tertiary and vendor-aligned technical qualifications with platform (server & OS), connectivity and security elements (e.g. a university degree + CCNA, Network+, or similar).

· 3+ years commercial experience in enterprise network infrastructure implementation and administration

· Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting, LAN/WAN technologies and services

· Demonstrated knowledge of Extreme Networks, Palo Alto, Cisco Systems, Fortinet and Juniper.

· Knowledge of the ITIL framework and experience implementing ITIL-based IT Service Management processes.

· Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office productivity, communication & collaboration technologies

· Experience with the installation and administration of distributed and virtual computing platforms

· Provision of Level 3 support for escalated service desk incidents and service requests

· Effectively demonstrates leadership, teamwork, problem solving, initiative and integrity

· Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; technical writing experience preferred

Desirable Criteria:

· Familiarity with SDWAN solutions and cloud networking experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure.

· Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).

· Experience with network virtualisation technologies using VMware NSX.

· Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimising network performance and ITSM though Change and incident management
