Senior Network Engineer

About the Role: Join our dynamic team as a Senior Network Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and supporting the wired and wireless network for our new facility. The position involves working on network-related software, hardware, and services essential for the new facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing a wired and wireless network that aligns with the current and future needs of the organisation, considering the specific requirements of the new building.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the new facility network design aligns with overall enterprise network and security requirements.
3. Implementing and supporting a test network for building subcontractors to validate solutions prior to installation.
4. Coordinating with contractors to ensure proper installation and integration of the network infrastructure with the building's systems.
5. Configuring and testing the network infrastructure to ensure seamless operation.
6. Providing technical support during the transition to the new network and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
7. Documenting the network infrastructure for a smooth handover to the network team and support organisations.
8. Participating in planning activities, adhering to policies, and ensuring safety and well-being in the workplace.

Requirements:

• Relevant undergraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale wired and wireless networks, with preference given to those with Juniper Network experience and certifications.
• Ability to deploy and implement physical networks within a new building construction environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and communication shop drawings and understanding data and Audio Visual infrastructure.
• Experience in change management related to technology implementation in large-scale programs.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in network design and documentation.
