Your Role
We are seeking a driven Senior Network Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in the build, maintenance, and operation of the Swoop global network for major projects.
The Senior Network Engineer is a 9-month fixed-term role.
This role is a hybrid opportunity and open to applicants across various states.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating to effectively design, maintain, and operate the Swoop network and continually improving the network and its associated products and services.
- Taking ownership of deliverables, managing timelines, and providing updates throughout the progress of a task and projects.
- Ensuring thorough and timely preparation of project documentation.
- Documenting the network and outcomes for ongoing review and improvement.
- After hours work as required to complete jobs with minimal customer disruption.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience working in a technical operations role in implementing, maintaining networks and systems in a telecommunications company and/or networks service provider implementing networks and systems.
- Extensive experience working with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco (IOS and IOS-XR), Juniper, Huawei, HPE Comware, Mikrotik, and A10.
- Extensive experience with service provider network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP-TE, L3VPN, radio PtP/PtMP systems, broadband aggregation, and QoS.
- Proven project management experience in successfully managing complex projects in a technology setting to ensure delivery against challenging time, financial and quality requirements.
- Proven ability to plan and organise the achievement of multiple priorities without neglecting any, in a timely manner.
- Advanced and confident communicator able to think on your feet.
- Advanced ability to communicate complex technical issues simply, clearly, and concisely.
Satisfactory police, working rights and reference checks are required to be successful in the role.
