Australian Citizens With NV2 Clearance previous defence experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience designing Unified communications VOIP/VTC systems.
This role will work within the SEA2273 Sub-Program of the Warfighting Networks and Applications Support Organisation (WSO), ICT Delivery Division, Chief Information Officer Group, Department of Defence.
The Senior Network Technician will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:
Design, build, deploy and support complex network solutions.
Complete and review all associated network documentation.
- Create and maintain network reference architectures that can be used to support solutions development.
- Provide network SME advice to the customer, and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project definition, system architecture and process improvement.
- Identify innovative service improvements that provide additional value to network solutions.
Provide leadership, training and support to customer and project personnel.
- Experience in Defence as a Senior Network/Gateway engineer.
Demonstrated experience in implementing large scale, geographically dispersed and constrained networks, the associated security threat landscape and related mitigations, including:
- Switching
- Routing
- Firewalls
- Segmentation
- Access controls
- Load balancing
Strong knowledge of Industry standard frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and ability to apply frameworks to architecture and solution design, including test and evaluation procedures.
