AddressWe are looking for a 4+ year PAE Senior Associate to join our high performing and successful Employers Liability team in Newcastle or Sydney.
Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- working on a diverse range of complex workers compensation and work injury damages matter;
- be a key contact with regular involvement with clients;
- appear in various courts and tribunals, including the Personal Injury Commission; and
- supervise and train junior lawyers.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- an academic qualification in law, with a current Practicing Certificate;
- a minimum of 4 years' PAE in defendant litigation, preferably in workers compensation/work injury damages matters;
- excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail; and
- experience in policy wording review/drafting.
- be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service;
- have the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, as well as autonomously; and
- have a desire for continuous development.
