headspace Early Psychosis is an early intervention service for young people aged 12 to 25 years. The service provides long term case management and therapeutic intervention (up to 5 years) to young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or shorter term (6 months) to those who are at risk of experiencing psychosis. Role Overview
The Senior Clinician role is an integral role of the leadership structure acting as the 2IC providing onsite clinical leadership to the Functional Recovery Team. This role will support line manager in effective and efficient management of team resources including being the first point of contact for all clinicians/team.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
As a senior clinician, providing mentoring and clinical supervision as required to colleagues and students to support the team
Work as a part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access for young people and families
Provide comprehensive early intervention and care co-ordination to young people to assist them in achieving the goals and actions outlined in their care/management plan.
Essential Criteria:
Approved tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and membership with APHRA
Minimum 3 -5 years demonstrated experience (excluding clinical placements) within the mental health field including delivering contemporary, evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions appropriate for young people presenting with first episode psychosis and high-risk clients
An understanding of recovery model principles and ability to implement these in clinical practice
Current NSW Driver’s License
