As a Senior Occupational Therapist at our dynamic clinics, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care through the implementation of evidence-based practices utilising our business’s refined systems and processes. You will provide clinical supervision to early career Occupational Therapists, helping them to positively influence and support their professional development. Your role will be instrumental in representing and growing our brand, Talk Play Grow, within both the clinic and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for children with developmental delays and disorders using both standardized and non-standardized tools.
• Collaborate with families to develop measurable and achievable intervention goals.
• Provide effective occupational therapy interventions in various settings including clinic-based, preschool/school-based, and home environments.
• Educate and inform parents, carers, and other stakeholders about communication development, disorders, and therapy strategies.
• Manage a clinical caseload with a high standard of practice and maintain complete, up-to-date, and confidential client records.
• Uphold the ethical standards set by Occupational Therapy Australia’s Code of Ethics.
• Develop and conduct educational workshops for community groups.
• Implement and participate in regular professional development programs.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to early career therapists.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in pediatric occupational therapy services.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• High level of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Full APHRA registration.
Desirable:
• Training in clinical supervision.
• Experience in leading educational initiatives or workshops.
