Senior Occupational Therapist (Psychosocial)

The Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI) are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Psychosocial) to join their team. The Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI) Community Partnership Service seeks to improve the SMBI residents’ access to high quality, safe and equity driven community care that is delivered closer to home. A collaborative care model will be developed in partnership with primary care providers for priority health conditions related to ageing, chronic disease, care of the older person, and community services.

About the Role

• Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to Occupational Therapy complex decision making with only occasional clinical/professional supervision.
• Adapt routine clinical practice as required based on clinical evidence with minimal supervision and a high degree of independence.
• Assist in the identification, development, implementation and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols in work areas using the principles of evidence-based practice under the guidance of senior staff.
