The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
Key duties of the role
- Reporting to the Director, Planning,Performance & Governance, the Senior Officer, Planning, Performance & Governance will support with a range of activities across the Commission, with responsibility for the following key duties:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a Planning and Performance framework including sound methodologies to manage governance, reporting and risk Coordinate response to the ANAO performance audit
- Assist with the response to the ANAO performance audit
- Contribute to forward planning to identify critical upcoming initiatives, working with leads across the Commission to understand requirements, milestones, risks and progress reporting
- Support the establishment and implemention of Business Planning methodology for divisions to use that aligns operational activities with strategic objectives

Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a contemporary attitude to people with disability, proven experience in strategic thinking and Planning &
Performance. The role requires independent thinkers who enjoy working in a team environment, as well as the following attributes:
- Assisting in delivering performance information for Portfolio Budget Statements, Corporate Plan, Annual Performance Statement, Annual Report and other complex high profile corporate documents.
- Operating with an understanding of Australian Government Policies, including the PGPA Act.
- Skilled writing to contribute to produce reports, respond to routine correspondence, develop plans and briefs to support the effective operation of the team.
