Two divisions – Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids – are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.About the RoleAs a Senior Operations Technician (Operations Specialist), you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the plant and equipment at Gladstone LNG in our Field Operations Team.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the safe operation, shutdown and isolation requirements in area of responsibility for all process and plant prior to, during and post project or maintenance activity, including safely responding to emergency situations.Contribute to the development of operational procedures, training materials, and documentation. Implement corrective actions to enhance plant performance, minimise disruptions, and improve reliability.Facilitate seamless interactions among team members, fostering an environment of mutual understanding and cooperation.Ensure strict adherence to environmental policies, codes, and guidelines. Champion safe work practices in accordance with the Santos Management System and Safe Operating Procedures.Requirement to Live in Gladstone:It is a requirement that the successful candidate for this position relocates to Gladstone. It is highly desirable that you have a trade background in the process industry.Control room / panel experience highly desirable.Technical Acumen: Proficiency aligned with our Competency Framework, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of process control and safety systems.Education:A Certificate III or IV in Process Plant Technology and Manage Incident Response Information certification are desirable and it’s essential you have the ability to obtain an MSIC Security card.Supporting a Diverse WorkforceSantos acknowledges that we operate on the traditional lands of Aboriginal people.
