About the role:As part of the district civil team, you will be regularly outdoors, operating, inspecting and maintaining wastewater systems. You will be required to take ownership and responsibility whilst leading a small team.What the role will involve:
- Participate in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections.
- Demonstrate leadership by ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the first priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
- Operate, maintain, monitor and repair wastewater assets, operational sites and public facilities as required.
- Participating in standby, overtime and call out availability rosters as required.
Key skills and experience:- Certificate III National Water Package or willingness to work towards
- A high degree of leadership and planning skills
- Possesses a high degree of technical knowledge skills relevant to district/assets
- Experience with SAP operating system
- Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence
- Experience in wastewater systems
- Confined Space, SCBA and/or gas monitoring certifications – desirable
