The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining water supply and water treatment plants in the Mid-West Region taking ownership and responsibility with the support of a larger team.What’s on Offer?· Location and air con allowance· Relocation support· Retention bonus after 12 months of service· Annual leave loading of 17.5%· Option to work on a 9 days fortnight roster· 2 days paid leave for mental health and wellbeing plus an additional leave day on the 24th of December· Access your Long Service leave pro-rata after 3 years of continuous service· Water Corporation make an additional 2% super contribution when you elect to salary sacrifice 2% of your salary to superWhat you’ll do· Operate, maintain, coordinate, and manage effective operation, maintenance and repairs to water and treatment plant assets· Participate in safe job planning, team meetings and inspections.· Carry out operations and maintenance tasks using specialist tools, plant and equipment supplied for such activity.· Work with other parties including contractors and other utilities in the delivery of operations and maintenance requirements.· Records and documents information relevant to the scheduled work in an accurate and timely manner, including use of forms, computers and other devices as required.· Ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.Key skills and experience· Cert III in National Water package or progress towards· Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence (HR Licence would be advantageous)· Excellent customer service and time management skills· Water sampler qualification, Confined Space, SCBA and/or gas monitoring certifications (desirable)As this role provides essential services within the Murchison region, ability to work after hours and participate on a standby roster is required - standby every second week (7 days) + overtime.ApplyIf you are interested in the above opportunity, please submit a resume that best demonstrates your ability to meet the requirements of the role.Applications close 21st April 2024Please note: As part of the recruitment process you may be required to complete Pre-Employment screening which may include a medical, qualification check, police clearance and Australian working rights check.We reserve the right to withdraw this ad prior to the closing date.Our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace:Diversity and inclusion are more than words.
