We have an exciting career opportunity for an Operator seeking an independent role based at our Mount Magnet depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining water supply and water treatment plants in Mid-West Region, taking ownership and responsibility with the support of a larger team.
As the sole Operator supporting the Murchison Towns you will operate, maintain, coordinate, and manage effective operation, maintenance, and repairs to our water and treatment plant assets.
What you’ll do
- Participate in safe job planning, team meetings and inspections.
- Carry out operations and maintenance tasks using specialist tools, plant and equipment supplied for such activity.
- Work with other parties including contractors and other utilities in the delivery of operations and maintenance requirements.
- Records and documents information relevant to the scheduled work in an accurate and timely manner, including use of forms, computers and other devices as required.
- Ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
- Cert III in National Water package or progressing towards
- Technical knowledge skills relevant to district/assets
- Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence (HR Licence would be advantageous)
- Confined Space, SCBA and/or gas monitoring certifications – desirable
- Ability to work afterhours and participate on a standby roster
