ROLE – Great Opportunity for a Senior Packaging Technologist to Gain Leadership Experience
This is a permanent full-time role which offers excellent work conditions, a friendly environment and on-site parking.
In this role, you will take the reins in leading, coaching, and nurturing a team of four Packaging Technologists. Your primary objective will be to conceive and deliver packaging solutions for both new and existing products. To thrive in this role, you must possess a keen ability to perform deep analysis, think outside the box, and communicate with influence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the responsibilities associated with this role include:
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for our customers' renowned brands
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to introduce new packaging ideas.
- Stay informed about global market packaging trends in order to develop product pipelines.
- Promote a continuous flow of fresh ideas and cutting-edge technologies that align with business and consumer demands across Australia.
- Strengthen team expertise and technical skills through mentoring and coaching.
- Identify opportunities by reviewing packaging processes in order to streamline and improve efficiency.
- Oversee and manage the supplier auditing program for packaging suppliers collaboratively with key stakeholders and maintain approved suppliers in our systems.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualified in a science-related degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a packaging role.
- Ability to manage and deliver products and projects on time and within budget.
- A talent for building trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong desire for continuous learning.
- A critical thinker who can provide insightful observations and improvements.
- Self-motivated, creative, and collaborative team player.
