About the role
The role of a Senior Payment Specialist - Payment Static Data is to assist ANZ in becoming the fastest and safest mover of funds both domestically and globally. This role ensures that ANZ customers spanning across all segments are provided with a quality, consistent and efficient payment experience, even when manual intervention is required.
The role is responsible for the successful processing of Inward and Outward Australian Domestic, Real-time Gross Settlement (RTGS), cross-border and clearing services Payments that fall into an exception handling queue. This is achieved through:
Becoming a subject matter expert on Payment Processing standard operating procedures
Doing things right the first time, demonstrating exemplary standards of quality
Maintaining a high level of productivity
Being curious and calling out suspicious transactions
Providing support and guidance to fellow Payment Specialists
Escalating where appropriate, informing team leaders and/or management of concerns and issues as and when they arise
Demonstrating an intermediate level of knowledge of the Australian Payments landscape including clearing streams such as SWIFT, RTGS, BECS and NPP
Demonstrating an intermediate level of knowledge of ANZ's Payments systems such as Global Payplus, Merva, AMH
Demonstrating an intermediate level of knowledge of Payments Industry standards such as SWIFT formatting and Financial Crime Standards
Continuously looking for ways in which the customer experience can be enhanced.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Knowledge of ANZ payment systems is preferred (SWIFT, GPP, MERVA, Cache, CAP, MIDANZ)
Excellent Written and Oral Communication
Basic level of understanding of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Possess a Service-based mindset with strong customer focus
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Detail oriented with a concern for quality
