Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Global Mining Company to engage two Senior Payroll Officers. This position is located in their busy Brisbane City office commencing ASAP until the 28/10/2024 with possible extensions for the right candidate.
About the Position
This role will work as part of a team assisting in leading and supporting processes within a large, complex, high volume employee data maintenance and payroll function within the Asia-Pacific region.
Duties
- Provide senior level technical and process guidance to employee data and payroll services team members.
- Lead and contribute to the on-time delivery of day-to-day payroll and local regulatory compliance activities.
- Drive and monitor compliance with company policies, internal control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders to lead the resolution of complex payroll/employee data queries.
- Identify, lead, and assist with the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Minimum 5+ years of payroll experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a Senior Payroll position.
- Extensive experience in high volume (1000+) employee data maintenance or payroll activities.
- Proficient knowledge of Australian payroll and super legislation
- Proficiency with SAP and Excel is required.
- Ability to work odd hours one week per month (compensated).
- Resilience - high-volume, high-pressure position.
- Stakeholder engagement experience, e.g., managing escalations, influencing, coaching, negotiating.
- Knowledge in PowerApps & EasyMorph (preferred, not essential)
