Senior Payroll Officer

Position DescriptionAn open opportunity for a diligent and detail oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy team on the Lower North Shore. You will be reporting into the Payroll Manager and working in a small team, on a fortnightly payroll. Each team member is valued for their individual contribution to the team, and you will be assisting the Payroll Manager leading the pay-run and guiding the team.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• End to Payroll: New starters, Bank changes, Super, Salary increases, allowances and deductions, terminations
• Administration/follow up of fortnightly timesheets
• Administration of fortnightly payroll reports including reconciliation and preparation of payments and reports.
• Assist with the calculation and payment of termination payments
• Assist with the administration of PAYG, Super and Third-Party payments
• Assist with reviewing audit reports for each payroll, following up any discrepancies
• Preparation of Reports
• Support preparation of payroll reports as required
• Support reconciliation of fortnightly payroll reports/data for accurate submission via STP
• Support reconciliation of annual payroll reports/data

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role, as well as the following attributes:

• A minimum of 3 years (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in a similar position.
• Experience with payroll systems (Chris21 is advantageous)
• Experience with Time and Attendance systems
• Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
• Strong administrative and procedural skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Maturity and confidence to deal with confidential and/or sensitive information.
