Taronga is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officerto join our People, Culture & Safety team.
About the RoleThis full-time, ongoing role reports to the Payroll Manager, and you will be responsible for processing Taronga's fortnightly payroll covering ~1,000 employees, including a large casual workforce. Additionally, you will handle payroll tax and superannuation processing as well as workers' compensation payments.
Key Accountabilities- Ensure the accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance.
- Provide internal and external reporting and analysis of payroll and employee related information in conjunction with our time and attendance system.
- Provide ongoing support and advice to managers and employees on employee entitlements and payroll related matters.
- Manage any discrepancies in payroll processing including liaising with banking institutions, the Australian Taxation Office, Government agencies, and employees to identify and implement resolutions.
- Manage reconciliations of statutory requirements i.e., Superannuation and Single Touch Payroll.
This position is well suited to a Senior Payroll specialist who prides themselves on their ability to deliver results and meeting employee needs. You will have:
- Previous experience in a Senior Payroll processing role with end-to-end experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations including superannuation, Group Tax, STP reporting
- Proficiency with SAP SuccessFactors and intermediate Microsoft Excels skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Knowledge of UKG is desirable.
- Brilliant communication skills.
- NSW paid working with children check (WWCC)
