Our client, a community services organisation based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne, is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer for a fixed-term contract running through until 30 June 2023, with possible extension.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, this position is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and processing of payroll for all staff and associated entities.

Key responsibilities:
Accurate and timely preparation, entry and transmission of the fortnightly payroll data and associated material
Accountable for ensuring the accuracy of staff leave entitlements
Accountable for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant Awards, and legislative requirements.
Accurate maintenance of pay records, employee’s records, leave records and related information, ensuring that privacy and confidentiality requirements are always met
Assisting is the setup of new employee records
When requested by the Payroll Supervisor run associated payroll reports
Other duties as directed by the Payroll Supervisor, GM – Finance and the CFO, in line with skills and capabilities
You will ideally have:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
SCHADS award experience is a must
Proven experience interpreting relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements
Experience working with Technology One or Kronos
