We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Senior P&C Business Partner to be part of our story. 
 

The Role: 

Leading a P&C team with two direct reports and reporting to the GM, People & Culture, you will provide dedicated Business Partnering support across the full employee lifecycle to our Head Office team (based in Sydney & Melbourne). Working closely with the GM - P&C, you will craft and deliver strategic people plans and initiatives that have a tangible impact to the success of Oroton and our people.  

With a strong understanding of the overall business strategy and commercial drivers, you will develop and deliver initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness, productivity and employee engagement. You will coach and support the development of your team to deliver best-in-class service and strategic Business Partnering

Along with partnering our Head Office team, you will also lead core P&C annual activities such as talent & succession planning, annual remuneration review and be a key contributor to the continuous improvement of the quality of our people processes and policies. 
 

You will lead and be responsible for: 

  • Business Partnering: providing high-quality P&C partnering across the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management and employee relations for all Head Office leaders and teams (~100 people). 
  • Annual P&C Calendar: lead the talent management and calibration process, annual performance review, growth conversation & quarterly goal setting cycle for all Head office teams. 
  • P&C Strategy: contribute to the development and delivery of the P&C strategy and five-year plan to support Oroton’s growth objectives across all departments, including our frontline retail teams. 
  • Leadership & People Management: proactively lead, inspire and develop your team to deliver high quality P&C partnering that supports the growth of the business and the development of our people. 
     

To be successful in this role you will be a seasoned senior P&C Business Partner with strong business acumen honed from your experience working in a high-growth and fast-moving customer-focussed business and/or start-up environment. Experience working within the retail sector is highly desirable. You thrive in a fast-paced ambitious environment and are comfortable working at speed and with ambiguity.  

You have proven experience designing and delivering people strategies that yield tangible outcomes and partnering with Senior Leaders to drive organisational growth.  You are a great relationship builder and can connect effectively across all levels of the organisation to influence and drive positive change. You are comfortable to debate and challenge the norm based on your deep understanding of an organisation's priorities and goals. You are open, warm, practical and pragmatic in your approach and know how to lead and inspire your team, investing in their development and enabling the delivery of great outcomes and experiences.
